Updates on our cafes and online store during COVID-19

Across our business, we’re taking proactive measures to ensure the health and safety of our community and our team. While we know there has already been a lot of information to take in, we also want to take the opportunity to communicate some new initiatives we are undertaking so that you can feel confident in your interactions with Industry Beans.

Staying Healthy in our Cafes

We always prioritise hygiene in our cafes, and now more than ever we have added additional cleansing practices and service protocols throughout our day to ensure that any unnecessary contact with people or items used by other people is minimized.

In light of the restrictions placed on cafe trading on Monday 23rd March, all of our venues are now operating as take-away only.We feel confident that we are working with the information we have at hand and doing the best we can to support our communities during this unusual time.

We’re encouraging all customers to order with The Industry Beans App. Simply place your order and come to café within 5 – 10 minutes. You can download the App here.

Needless to say, our whole team is incredibly attentive to all health and safety guidelines are adhered to. Please look to them for guidance and instruction in how to navigate these new processes.

Our number one priority is the continued health of our community. We’ll continue to react to any instructions received from the Australian and State governments, to ensure that we are doing everything we can. 
We have also developed protocols for escalation should further action be required, and we - like so many other businesses – are ready to take instruction from the relevant health bodies. 


Getting Coffee Beans To You

Our roasteries adhere to the highest standards of food and production safety, and we are continuing to roast and dispatch coffee beans daily from both our Melbourne and Queensland roasteries. While we always have the utmost confidence in the hygiene of our production, we have also put a few extra measures in place:

  1. Every member of our team is sanitising their hands upon entry and exit to the roastery, every time including:
        o    Before and after breaks
        o    After handling any items or goods arriving from outside of the venue
  2. All work stations and packaging equipment are sanitised before production starts each day, several times throughout and at the close of business each day.
  3. All courier drivers are required to sanitise their hands prior to collecting or delivering to our team in the roastery

Our commitment to you is to continue to roast and dispatch your coffee with our same-day or next-day turnaround. Once we dispatch your orders the delivery timeframe is the responsibility of our courier partner, and while we have been experiencing great service through Australia Post, please keep in mind that there might be an extra day or two to your delivery cycle as more goods are purchased online. We will continue to provide tracking for all orders.

We’ll keep updating you as new information comes through, and for the time being, we want to reiterate that we are open for business and ready to welcome you into our venues with your health and safety front of mind.
