This Winter, our head chef James and his highly skilled team have curated a menu to help you escape the chill of Melbourne. With it comes two new meals and a vegan friendly alternative to a Fitzroy favourite.
Inspired to create an experience beyond a great brunch this season, the team have been pushing the boundaries and bringing new techniques into the kitchen.
We imagine enjoying these dishes nestled in the warmth of the café, coffee in hand and a favourite novel at the ready.
Full of wintery goodness, this dish brings a theatrical spin to your hearty broth. With a base of marinated rare beef and roasted vegetables, delicate noodles vanish as a steaming broth is poured over the dish.
Turmeric Rice Porridge
This dish is comfort food with a twist. With the much-loved warmth of a rice porridge comes the flavours of turmeric, saffron, sour cherries and smoked candied almonds.
Coffee Braised Jackfruit
By popular demand, we’re introducing a vegan option to our signature coffee braised short rib. The coffee braised jackfruit pulls apart, accompanied by Szechuan roasted peanuts, crispy carrot and a nourishing black rice and betel leaf base.
