This coffee was grown in the highlands of the El Limo mountain range, by a group of 44 small producers with a long tradition in coffee. These producers focus on high quality traditional varietals, favourable for the production of specialty coffee.
This is the first time we’ve sourced this coffee, and we’re especially excited as we don’t often get the opportunity to feature Ecuadorian coffee. As an origin, Ecuador is growing so quickly in both quality and quantity of specialty coffee, and offers some really unique and delicious flavours.
This lot is sweet, rich and full-bodied, with a silky mouthfeel, a touch of citric acidity and a prolonged aftertaste. That might sound like a lot, but all of this together makes for a complex and beautifully balanced final cup!
