About This Blend

Every shift in season gives us a reason to create a new limited filter blend, and Spring might be our best reason yet. This year's Spring Filter Blend captures the feeling in the air with fragrant floral notes, like a fresh bouquet blooming delicately in your cup.

Composition

Spring Filter brings together two unique coffee origins in equal parts. The Chelbesa from Ethiopia contributes a silky mouthfeel and complex floral aromatics, while the Kwongi from Papua New Guinea adds body and sweet nougat notes.

Tastes Like

This cup is floral from start to finish, with the classic Yirgacheffe bergamot doing the heavy lifting on the aroma. Expect flavour notes of floral jasmine and citrus, and with a long, candy-sweet nougat finish.

Roasting Note: Chelbasa is roasted faster to highlight its lovely florals, while the Kwongi has an extended Maillard phase to enhance the nougat body, and match its extraction with the Chelbasa.

Brewing Note: We recommend starting with a 1:17 ratio with a coarser grind size to encourage a cleaner extraction, bringing out the blend’s lively florals and best clarity.

How do I choose a blend?

Each of our blends has been sourced and roasted to deliver a different flavour profile, so we're sure you'll find something that suits you best. At the top of each product description, you'll see three icons indicating roast intensity, style and personality - start there!

Should I order whole beans or ground?

That's completely up to you! Freshly ground coffee will always deliver more flavour, but if you don't have a coffee grinder we'll grind your order the day it's shipped to ensure it gets to you as fresh as possible.

When will this coffee be roasted?

The coffee has been roasted within 1-4 days of it being sent to you. We find our coffee starts tasting it's best around 10 days after roasting, and up to 28 days if stored well. We know you might be enjoying it sooner than that, but good things come to those who wait! We will pack and send your order the next business day after you place it.

How do your coffee subscriptions work?

Our coffee subscriptions are self-managed with no commitment - simply select your desired quantity and frequency and you're up and running! Every subscription order receives an automatic 10% discount, which grows to 15% over time, and you'll have access to a customer portal to make any changes you like along the way.
