Starting Out
- Dose: 15g of coffee per 230mL water
- Water Temperature: 90-94°C
- Grind: Medium-Coarse
- Brew Time: 2-2.5 minutes
Step 1
Bring water temperature to 90-94°C, or just off the boil.

Step 2
Set the Aeropress upside down, with the plunger removed and the cap facing upward.

Step 3
Place a paper filter inside the cap and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper residue.

Step 4
Weigh out 15g of coffee and grind to medium-coarse.

Step 5
Place coffee grounds into the Aeropress.

Step 6
Pour 50 grams of hot water into the brewing chamber and use a paddle or spoon to vigorously stir the coffee grounds.

Step 7
Pour the remaining brewing water to fill the chamber to the top. Let the coffee steep for 1 minute.

Step 8
Attach the cap with the filter onto the Aeropress and lock it in place securely.

Step 9
Place your cup on top of the cap and flip the Aeropress right side up.

Step 10
Gently and consistently press the plunger down, applying slight pressure, so that the brewed coffee comes out in a controlled manner, resembling raindrops. Aim for a brew time of 2 - 2.5 minutes. Enjoy!
Our Brewing Tips:
- If the coffee tastes too sour or acidic, try using a finer grind size.
- If the coffee tastes flat or bitter, try using a coarser grind size.
- There is no wrong way to make an Aeropress, so feel free to experiment and adjust the brewing method to suit your taste preferences.
- Don't be afraid to mix up your technique and try different variations.
- Consider using stainless steel filters as an alternative to paper filters.
