
Summer is officially upon us and that means the brunch season is in full swing! We’ve pulled together a summer brunching hitlist to help you celebrate every occasion the season may bring:
For the hot summer’s day:
Start with the Summer Super Salad’s generous serving of kale, buckwheat, sour cherries, beetroot gel and pickled blueberries – all drizzled with a cherry vinaigrette. Take breaks only to sip on an icy glass of our single origin cold brew coffee and finish it all off with the obvious – an affogato with coffee ice cream and a fresh shot of espresso. We’ll even give you the honours of pouring it 😉
For sharing with mates:
Nothing is better than holiday share food and our menu is designed for just that. Start with the Fruit Sashimi, break up the wattleseed and pepper leaf rice crisp and use it as an edible spoon for the rainbow of sides on the plate. From there you may like to move on to the Smoked Manchego Omelette, or maybe the melt-in-your-mouth Coffee Braised Short Rib. Top it all off with a Summer Dessert – crack open the meringue sphere to reveal salted caramel ice cream and mix it all up with lime curd, praline and lemon glazed pineapple.
For when you’re sick of eggs:
If you’re a seasoned bruncher, you’ve likely consumed more than a carton of eggs this summer. We invite you to try something different with our Steel Cut Oats. A perfect plate of dragon fruit and tea-soaked oats, surrounded by crunchy chia crumble, grated apple, compressed watermelon, fresh cherries and topped with the summeriest thing we can think of– mango foam.
For the sweet tooth:
You can’t go past our Cinnamon Dusted Brioche. A crispy outer crust with a soft spongey inside, sitting pretty next to creamy Tonka bean ice cream and topped off with maple roasted peanuts, blackberry coulis, manuka sherbet and coffee caviar. Pair with our Salted Caramel Bubble Cup for the sweetest of sweet fixes.
For curing a hangover:
If you’re feeling a little dusty after a big night, load up the table with a classic: Avocado Smash with ALL the sides. Nothing will bring you back to life like avo, wood smoked bacon, goat’s cheese, fresh medley tomatoes and crunchy serving of polenta chips. Your future self will thank you.
For when you’re just REALLY hungry:
It’s burger time. Both the IB Fried Chicken Burger and Coffee Rubbed Wagyu Burger will not leave you wanting, especially if you indulge with a bit of wood smoked bacon and a side of polenta chips. Do yourself a favour, order a cold brew to go with it and prepare to feel full!
