Fellow Stagg EKG Pro Electric Kettle

The gooseneck spout is what gives you control. It pours a slow, precise stream exactly where you want it, so you can saturate the coffee bed evenly and control your flow rate through the brew - both key to a clean, balanced pourover. A standard kitchen kettle pours too fast and too wide to manage this, which is why the Stagg EKG Pro is a favourite among home baristas brewing their filter coffee.

As a general guide, somewhere between 90–96°C suits most filter coffee, with lighter roasts generally liking it hotter and darker roasts a touch cooler. We have recommended brewing temperatures specifically for our coffee blends and single origins - and being able to adjust by the degree is exactly what the Stagg EKG Pro is built for.

If you're brewing our beans, our brew guides are a great starting point for temperature and ratios.
